I just got my X-53 Touring Rocket and I thought it scaled to your riding so you could use it on land and to fly! I can only fly on it, not use it as a land mount in Old World and stuff. Was it only ment to be a flying mount? It says it scales to your riding skill.

It is indeed only meant to be a flying mount. The scaling is meant to reflect that the mount scales with the speed of your existing mounts and skill. Thus, if you had normal flying then obtained epic flying, then your X-53 would increase in speed. If you then acquired a 310% speed flying mount your X-53 would scale to travel just as fast.
