I am about to give up on installing WotLK from the 10 day free trial link....

I have been sitting here, idling my computer, for 5 hours and my download progress is only at 79%...

I understand WotLK is a huge expansion, there's a lot to it, including all the bells and whistles that have to come with the cherished LVL 80 (dun dun dun!).

But... 5 hours? And there is no way to pause the download. If this doesn't finish in the next two hours (this would now be an entire day without logging in as I tried the download last night and ran into issues) then I'm going to have to once again stop the download and start up again from 1% tomorrow.

Please help me.

Are you using a dial-up connection or wireless 802.11b?

Also are you using a router and is the router set up to work with our games ?

Also, to add to the slow download issue:

Firewalls can be found in routers and DSL modems.

For routers you can go to http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/routerindex.htm
- select your specific router
- select World of Warcraft Downloader
- follow the walk-through instructions

For DSL modems, change the Private IP setting to a Public IP setting (look at bottom of modem for sticker with instructions)


And please don't use wireless, it corrupts too many files I hear about on a daily basis. Seriously, if you would only see the amount of issues wireless causes, you, like me, would never use it, hehe.
