"WorldOfWarcraft.Ink.Temporary" Folder

In updating patch 1.12.x to 2.0.1 the installation goes fine all the way to the end of the Blizzard Updater until it's done in which case there is an error saying it could not create the WorldOfWarcraft.Ink.Temporary folder.

I've tried multiple times un-installing and re-installing the game to no success.

I did see a few others with the same problem here so it makes me feel slightly better to know its not just me :P

Any update on how to fix this?

Keatonfox,

Usually this error is caused by administrator rights not being allowed for the current account on the computer. The operating system, in these cases, simply preventing the directory from being made.

If you are using Vista, it my allow WoW to patch better if it were not installed in the Program Files folder. The Program Files folder in Vista is a little more secured than other folders, or at least more checks take place.

If you are on XP, then please check the administrator rights access first.

Q u o t e:
I see, yes it is Vista, so is there a recommended folder to substitute for the Program Files one?

No recommendations, any directory will do. You should be able to just move the folder directly, not really needing a re-install.
