Why is VT so weak?

Nah. I mean being a mana battery may be the best reason for raids, but aside from decent damage there's a lot of stuff any priest brings that can help make those tasks easier. Being able to rez, shield, shackle, fear, buff, emergency heal, plus keeping some decent health ticks with VE, it's all good stuff. Now of course the usefulness of some of those things vary as you go from a 5 person group to 25, or even fight to fight, but they're worth recognizing. I can't count how many times I've saved a crappy heroic pug from wiping on a trash pull by popping out of shadow and taking over healing duties, or times my VE has kept health flowing for someone just enough before a healer could get to them. All the while making strong competition for the top of the meters. It's more than just VT (which is fine btw). |

Sure. It's a 10% increase to your shown shadow damage, so yeah, it takes into account all non+shadow damage as well. If you have 1k shadow damage, with the talent you'll have 1100. (The gain won't actually show on the character sheet though of course) |

Pardon? I'm not representing anyone. Have a problem with what I said? |

Ok, well my answer was from the lead class designer so I guess either I misunderstood him or misrepresented what he said. Or... there's a nerf incoming Care of: You. The actual damage increase isn't represented on the character sheet, I should clarify. |
