Weird issue regarding FPS
by Aillin | 15/05/2010 23:19:09![]() So, lately I've been having a strange problem. Basically an FPS "bomb" occurs every 30 mins or so. The framerates "even in Elwynn with lowest settings" drop to 5 or less FPS for about 5 seconds, and then for a split second it goes normal, and then the framerates instantly go back down to 5 or less FPS. This just keeps repeating over and over for about a minute. It's really frustrating, because for the duration of these FPS bombs I can't do anything, really. My computer has SMC fan control and I've already cleared the temp files. by Radoslawn | 19/05/2010 15:05:15![]() Hello Aillin, I'm with Kalisti on this one, 30 mins is too well organized or too structured not to be something either trying to update or turning on. You don't have Safari running do you ? Better yet is there anything at all running in the background whatsoever, perhaps an IM program or Ventrillo or Skype ? Does this happen if you have the game in window mode ? (command + m) And if you can play in window mode can you also open Activity Monitor.app and perhaps check out to see anything listed at the top where CPU% in concerned. No matter how simple the ??? seem, we were all nbs at one time. Grab your free Apple mount here !!! (okay I lied, it's a survey) https://www.surveymk.com/s.aspx?sm=dVmRYNrf0LMIrm5nXlEciQ_3d_3d |
