I get to 10% on the download and install process and it asks for a Cd at installing shadowfang_27_32.adt. I do not have a cd to install from so if I could get some help on what to do that would be great. thanks

Hi Brakan,

It's asking for a CD? Do you have anything inserted in your CD or DVD drives, or even any virtual drives? Anything like a new copy of StarCraft, Diablo II, Warcraft 3 or a WoW/BC disc can throw it off if it is looking for files.

Can you get us a screenshot of the thing asking for a CD, and also a screenshot of the insides of World of Warcraft Installer folder on your desktop?

There are image hosting sites like flickr, tinypic, imageshack and the likes that can host them for free. Try those :)

Sure. You can email those to forumtech@blizzard.com. Just make sure you put a link to this thread in the body of the email too.

It looks like a tome file is broken somewhere. That's quite unusual. Can you delete all of the files in the World of Warcraft Installer folder and try again?

Q u o t e:
my boyfriend upgraded to WOTLK and get a message that he needs a CD when he attempts to download, according to the forum it is suggested to delete the installer folder -
Please provide instructions for this - I will be upgrading very soon also

You do not need a CD for the download version of World of Warcraft/Burning Crusade/Wrath. It has everything you need.

When you run the downloader, it makes a shortcut to the folder on your desktop called World of Warcraft Installer. You just open that and delete the stuff inside if needed.
