Does it simply need time to register the upgrade from a 10 day trial? The account i'm currently posting on will not let me join a guild or whisper players - I upgraded the account more then six hours ago. Is there something that can be done?

Did you upgrade digitally, Potency? The reason I ask is because when an account is upgraded digitally, some temporary trial restrictions will remain in place until payment is finalized. These restrictions include, but are not limited to:

- Inability to trade via the auction house, mailbox, or player-to-player.
- In-Game public chat channels will be unavailable. (Players will still be able to communicate using say, party, or whispers).
- Characters will be unable to create or join existing guilds.

Level and profession skill caps will be removed immediately, though.

As your fellow posters have noted, these temporary trial restrictions should dissipate within 72 hours of the digital upgrade. They may dissipate sooner, but that depends on how quickly your financial institution can finalize the provided payment. :)
