This little light of mine, I'm going to let it shine

Q u o t e:
Does it start tomorrow (the 20th), or does it start the day after (the 21st)? The website and post seem to have slightly conflicting information. :)

Edit: also, does it end on the 5th or the 4th?

It should technically be midnight the night of the 20th and the 4th.

So, the main page posted on 6/19 says it should start "tomorrow" being 6/20 isn't really accurate, cause it starts 6/21? You do know that summer solstice is today, 6/20, not tomorrow 6/21 due to it being a leap year?

/confused

It was all updated to indicate it starts the 21st to match our calendar date. :)

To clarify, it's 4AM server time. I checked and rechecked the data, and made a post about it earlier. All is working properly at this stage. ;)

So if everyone in the party can summon him once we'll get 5 badges from him?

No, I'm fairly certain that isn't how it works. ;)

I have a question though-- Ahune is a 70 only thing?

65+ for the quest. You can level once, or if you have some pals who can support you, you can likely kill non-heroic Ahune. ;)

No, the Wild Fires and Light in Dark Places quests are no longer active. If you have them completed but not turned in, you can turn them in, but there are a bunch of new quests and mechanics in their stead this year.

After the crab, a daily should open up for you; what you're probably seeing is the quest that leads you to Ahune, which is 65 and would therefore show as silver to you.

Q u o t e:
Has the fire festival crown been taken out? I stole all 3 flames, used them but wasnt able to get the A Thief's Reward quest.

Were you aware there are four racial capital cities now? >_>

Nope, didn't get a daily. Just got a message saying I was too low a level.

Hm, all right, good to know -- just head back to your capital, the elder should have a quest for you.

Just checked. No quests from the Elder either. <frown>

All right, I'll look into it; thanks for the report.

For those who haven't seen it -- there is an issue with the sub-65 Inform the Elder portion, and we're working on fixing it.

Q u o t e:

Talked with 2 Gms yesterday "this is a known bug that is being worked on, please hold on to the quest, it should be resolved with in a couple days"

Whos right?

As I purposely removed the quests myself, with my own two hands and my devious mind, I'm fairly certain I'm in the right.

Q u o t e:

Having know this new insight my choices for spending my blossums would have been different. Being told by the GMs that this quest would be fixed I planned on getting the quest done and the pet that way. Any reason the GMs would tell me this would be fixed? Also Do i have to wait one whole year to get the pet based on THEIR Wrong information?

That's unfortunately something I can't help you with. I didn't communicate at any point that the lack of those quests was unintentional.

The Honor/Desecrate quests, as well as the Zoram Strand questline, are once per year.

Q u o t e:

Exactly what I want to know. I've spent most of my day traveling around both worlds, and still have only made around 250 flowers to show for it. I REALLY do not want to get into Outland and die every two steps I take, for 15 flowers a zone.

I still have not started the zoram chain yet, so does that give an excessive amount?

The Zoram Strand chain gives some, but moreover it unlocks another daily. Doing the torch tossing, torch catching, and Striking Back quests should give you a decent intake per day.

Q u o t e:
What's the level requirement for the Zoram Strand follow-up? I went through all the quest, got the letter, turned into a crab & listened to the plan, called the dog and he tells me I'm not high enough level to continue? What a let-down....

1. What's the required level to continue?
2. Why isn't there something else to do for people not meeting the level requirement?

I've finished all of Kalimdor & Eastern so far and continuing to do the torch tossing/catching dailies, which has been really, really fun. Gonna work on Outland this week, but the abrupt "sorry, you're not high enough level" on the Zoram chain is just odd. Almost like somebody forgot that there are still toons lower than 70.

I've mentioned this a few times, but to reiterate, there was an issue this weekend with lower levels being unable to accept the Inform the Elder quest. It should be resolved now, so please try again. If you're still seeing the problem, let me know what level you are and what realm you're on. All characters over level 16 should be able to accept it.

Q u o t e:
I love the festival, but it's sorta silly to allow non-70's to get the 4 city fire quests if you're not going to give them the final one for the crown. It's not like it's an item that would make a non-70 imbalanced - so what gives? If I can get into 4 horde cities at 55 and complete the quest you'd think the crown would be rewardable to everyone? Seems silly to me.

Everyone 50 and up can do it.
