This needed to be advertised in game and was not SECONDLY, I went to both those suggested websites and did not find any mention of upgrades whatsoever. it is MANDATORY that such drastic changes to a player's gold or honor expenses must be CLEARLY and almost obtrusively put to the player so that they are fully aware of the outcome (down the road...). Should i have saved my honor based on a rumor..? definitely not!! in that case i would save 10000 gold for a house, and I would have a flying dragon mount as a pet... I pursued this rumor of gear upgrades, and upon not easily finding anything I figured it was just a rumor. If you are able to tell me that i shouldn't download a trojan virus (!!!DUH!!!!) through an ingame mail... you can certainly tell me that the pvp items are soon to be outdated. |

We recommend checking it often, as well as the forums for new information, announcements, contests, and conversation. Many news sites picked up on the announcement too, as well as WoW specific fansites, guild pages, UI sites, etc. I am sorry that you spent your points but we did provide what we felt to be ample warning to those who were looking to buy items sometime soon. |
