After spending weeks trying to get Blizzard to fix a frequent crashing bug, I came up with my own solution.

The symptoms:

Random and frequent lockups in the game, could be anywhere at any time.
Cursor changes to spinning beachball, then Mac is frozen. Cmd-opt-esc does not bring up force quit dialog.
If in windowed mode, menus, dock, etc are not responsive.
Ambient sound and music continues.
Console log shows FIFO error when addressing graphics card.

The solution to this issue is to turn off "Projected Textures" in video effects.

I am now able to play for hours without a single lockup.

I hope this helps all those other people having this problem, and I hope Blizz is paying attention and fixes this issue.

Can you do me a favor and post your computer specs, this will help others that might be having issues and have similar Mac Specs.
