I don't think we have a moral obligation to reproduce. I think we do it for personal, selfish reasons, or because we geniunely unthinkingly have children. I'm pretty certain I was born due to the latter, despite condoms being readily available way back in the late 1970's.

In terms of the topic title, since it's not clear and Tseric has just been responding to spam (and people are just spamming), I am going to interpret it to mean that we have a duty to maintain some semblance of trying to maintain the human species.

Replace the word "species" with "culture" and listen to how that reads.

it at least has more merit than 'Onanism should be a public event where people can interactively participate' which is just bizarre.

I agree that it is bizarre and that there should be more to it. Onanism has an abortive quality, which I think speaks to a consumer's hesitation about the product they might buy. Consumers regard objects, not people. A lot of modern interaction could be classified as 'networking' rather than 'friendship'. Casual sex in the marketplace.
