So who KNOWS they should have a Netherdrake?

Gargantuan

I KNOW someone on my server had a rank of over 12,000 that they obtained for fun.

I KNOW my team finished 44th (we're lazy and stopped at a point we knew would get a drake)

I KNOW 44/12000 = ~0.003667

I KNOW .3667 < .5

I KNOW based on what forum posts said I should have a drake.

I KNOW if Blizzard is doing something stupid like taking into account EVERY team then it doesn't make sense since not every team has a chance to compete with eachother and it should be battlegroup-wide only.

I KNOW Blizzard should just rework the math and give people that fall uner the math posted by the CM's but the chances of that are... I know... I know.

Well, maybe the other half of my server won't quit and I'll have a shot at a drake... who knows...
now THAT is some disgruntled engrish

I've seen a couple posts stating that we posted incorrect information at some point, but I've yet to see that actual post. What math was posted that is leading you to believe it's changed?

I've also seen some assumptions that we're now only basing the rankings off of the teams that actually show in the armory before they're cut off, which isn't true. Technically the game doesn't even know the armory exists, and the armory pulls information from the game, not the other way around.

Arena System Q&A #2 – updated 11/05

It states, from a Blue

Q: Please explain a bit more who will receive the Netherdrake.
A: The top 0.5% of the teams of each bracket will receive the Netherdrake epic flying mount, as well as the top Arena title. This means that the top 0.5% of the teams in the 2v2 bracket, the top 0.5% of the teams in the 3v3 bracket, and the top 0.5% of the teams in the 5v5 bracket will all receive the Netherdrake and the title

Thank you, and yes that post did and still does state the correct information. In case you haven't seen it already the link below outlines that we're aware of an error where teams that should have received their end-of-season rewards did not.

Anyone not get netherdrake's who should have?

Q u o t e:
Drysc even had the audacity to suggest that they never said how to calcuate the qualification # of ranks that would get a drake.

Huh?

Here is the problem with your system, I solved the mystery..... I believe.

At least for most people. See this thread:

As stated in my first post in this thread "Technically the game doesn't even know the armory exists, and the armory pulls information from the game, not the other way around."

Q u o t e:
If it is not because of a delayed armory update then unless you present exactly where the problem came we are all going to assume that you changed the qualifications to shorten the bracket sizes without telling anyone.

That's jumping to an odd conclusion considering teams rated lower than others got their rewards while the higher teams didn't. In any case, that's not the issue. As I said we'll have information tomorrow, and I am sorry that's all I can provide at the moment.
