by Neraeos | 10/03/2008 23:00:07 When I tried to log on to the forums earlier it said 3 times in a row I had an invalid password. Same thing happened when I tried to log on in game. I immediately did a password recovery, got my new weird password, changed it, logged on to the forums and am making this post. I don't know how or if my account got hacked. I logged off just fine last night, got home from school, LOGGED ON, logged off to D/L a mod real quick, and then couldn't log back on. I KNOW the mod didn't have a keylogger or trojan. It wasn't a .exe file, and it was off a site I trust (wowace.com) and by an author that I know wouldn't put one of these in his/her addons (Satrina he/she even posts on the UI/Macros Forum from time to time). I already did Spyware scan and I'm in the middle of doing a Free AVG scan right now. Is it safe to log back into my account yet? Is there anything else I should check before I do that? Also, can keyloggers get your password from logging into the forums!? =O |

Yes, anything and everything you type should be assumed to be captured by a keylogger if you suspect you may have one. That means you should reset your password now, again, and do not login to the forums/account management/game until you can be sure your system is safe and secure.
