So My Roommate Dings 80...

Poor guy hit 70 the day before WotLK came out and was so burned out by the levelling process he finally made it to 80 this week! /shindig Anyways, he has never in his life been on a raid so I convinced him to join a 25 man VoA yesterday night to which he hesitated because he is literally still in quest greens and didn't want to drag us down. He's a good sport in RL and would be more then willing to back out of something if it meant everyone around him had a higher chance of success. I insisted he try it to which he finally gave in. As luck would have it, he's the only mage in the raid that doesn't have Valorous or Deadly (obviously). 5 minutes later Archavon dies and 3/4 drops are mage gear. My roommate walks away with Valorous Leggings, Valorous Hands and Deadly Hands. We then joined up on a 25 man OS and he rolls 100 on Illustration of the Dragon Soul trinket. I woke up this morning to find he had pulled an all nighter running Heroics as the new gear had given him a much needed confidence boost. So too all you naysayers who think VoA is cheap because you don't have to 'work' for your gear, I think this guy was finally rewarded for always putting everyone else before himself.
