Ok so I just did the Shartuul teleporter event and it was very fun. The only problem I have with it is it costs one dark rune. Is it possible for me to obtain another dark rune without doing the daily quest because I'm bored and I really want to do the event right now :D

Yes, you have to do the daily quest of banishing the demons to get the darkrunes. The darkrunes are unique to prevent people from doing this event constantly as there can be some great rewards from it.
