by Radoslawn | 06/08/2008 16:12:54![]() Evening Ethyl, Do me a favor and post your trace route to the realm... 1. log into the game 2. put it in window mode Command + M 3. go to Mac HD=>Applications=>Utilities=>Terminal 4. at cursor type netstat -n 5. look for the first Foreign Address that contains .3724 6. type traceroute ( IP address that appears before the .3724) > ~/Desktop/tracert.txt and press the Return key. A file will be created on your Desktop called tracert.txt that contains your trace route information 7. quit the Terminal application, open the file created and copy/paste the text to your reply Let me know how I'm doing... https://www.surveymk.com/s.aspx?sm=OXrtw1WfuVlU_2fd_2bJQf0JSg_3d_3d |
by Radoslawn | 07/08/2008 14:44:09![]() Evening Ethyl, So was the rest of the trace route a bunch of *'s ? Are you using a router ? Looks like it, if so Hop 1 = connection between your computer and your router Hop 2 = connection between your router and modem, which is failing. Hence the *'s Whenever your testing a connection and the time to get data back and forth takes too long it times out, putting in the *'s to mark that, so something is going on between your router and modem. Do me a favor and power cycle them... Power-Cycling Procedure: 1. turn off your modem and router (if using one) - pull the power cords 2. wait 30 seconds 3. turn on your modem - put the power cord back in 4. wait 1 minute 5. turn on the router (if using one) - put the power cord back in 6. wait 1 minute 7. (re)start the computer 8. test World of Warcraft The error log is due to a miscommunication between your computer and the realm again going back to a bad connection.
