SE Shadowmoon valley - freezes WoW

Macbook Pro, 2 Ghz, 1 gig ram, 10.4.11

I accepted a summon earlier to the Black Temple when our raid began and WoW gained the infinite spinny wheel. I could still listen to vent and music, but couldn't do anything with the other apps, so i ended up forcing a shutdown and restarting.

There were a few oddities after, such as my mac causing me to log out with no reason once after i had logged in after restarting, and some icons being odd, but those seem to have been resolved. However, i was unable to log into my character - about halfway through the loading screen the bar would stop and the music would stutter.

i was able to log into other characters and other servers, and a GM moved this char to Shattrath, at which time I was able to fully log in again. However, upon flying to the SE part of Shadowmoon Valley, WoW once again went spinny wheel of infinite holding and the problem reoccured. I am unable to log on to my character in that general area. Perhaps some of the textures or mpqs were corrupted or have problems in them?

I am curious if there is any resolution to this problem besides reinstalling TBC fully. I have tried deleting wtf/cache/interface to no avail.

Thanks!
