It was bueatifull. it really was, now its a dead dream. fine. then just change the damn thing. pick up UA, throw it in the trash can, and try again. gice us sometthing else, maybe a different DoT that does some crazy damage and cant be dispelled but wont effect the othes, so contagion is all we have to rely on. maybe an ability that allows us to cause DoT effects on the target to explode, doing damage based on the amount of DoTs on the enemy, consuming there effects. something interesting.

other 'locks are welcome to post new ideas or flames, screw it anyways, i have most trolls here on ignore so if any i missed happen to be around, feel free to jump in, it would be nice to get the rest of you
you have broken unstable affliction. good, now you have a project. FIX IT

Q u o t e:
It has more to do with how Affliction is slowly becoming a mirror image of what it is now instead of the premier Warlock tree.

I'm unclear on exactly why the Affliction tree should be the "premier" warlock tree.

It seems to me that if your expectation is that we should intentionally be making Affliction clearly better than the others, then you hold a philosophy that is pretty counter to what talents are about and can expect to be disappointed.

I too like it when you tell it like it is... but I like tell it like it is myself. Destruction the way you have set it up is the premier Lock tree now in WOW as well as with the changes in BC.

destruction warlocks will be the only ones primarily using seduce nuke as they always have and will be the only ones with the burst damage and now overall dps to successfully pull it off.

Can you please answer the questions posed in the other thread that you responded to, like why would I cast a 1.5 second dot when a 1.5 second immolate conflag will instantly do more then 2 times the damage as that 41 point dot does over 18 seconds.

You have to be aware that this is a problem?

As other players have noted, burst killing in BC PvP is less effective than it used to be due to the higher health pools (relative to damage being done) and due to the existence of the new resilience stat that lowers your chance to be crit and reduces crit damage (something affliction is far less affected by).

We intend to balance it such that destruction's overall dps is a bit higher than affliction, but at the cost of mana efficiency, mobility, and its reliance on burst. So, we've been tuning the numbers to achieve that end.
