This is good news that they are making progress with it. Hopefully it's just the first significant step toward curing it.

I also know some great people with HIV. One is suffering through Hep-C and liver cancer as well.

HIV has been treatable for some time, this research didn't exhibit any 'new' information, rather extended (and hopefully improved) treatment.

However, as with most viruses, diseases, and the like; any news is good news!


It sounds like it's a much more effective treatment than the current cocktail of drugs. I think many would rather live a "normal" life with the drug than worry about the drug suddenly no longer working to keep it at bay, provided this one is reliable.
