Important Notes About Recruit-A-Friend Account Links:

• In order for two accounts to become successfully linked, a veteran player must first send out a Recruit-A-Friend invitation key. This key then must be used to create a new account. If the Recruit-A-Friend invitation key is not used to create the new account, and a Web Trial key or a key from a boxed copy is used instead, the accounts will not be linked and no benefits and rewards will be available to either player.
  
  
• Many players chose to sign up for the Recruit-A-Friend program while they are in the same room. If a veteran player decides to send out a Recruit-A-Friend invitation key from the same computer that the recruit player will eventually use to create a new account, then it's very important that the veteran player completely logs out of his or her Battle.net Account before the Recruit-A-Friend invitation key is claimed. If this does not occur, the recruit's account may be accidentally set up under the veteran's Battle.net account.

Important Notes About In-Game Benefits:

• In order to receive triple experience, certain requirements must be met:
  
  
  
  • The veteran and recruit character must partied and within 100 yards of one another.
    
  • All creatures killed and quests completed must be level-appropriate for both characters. Mobs and creatures that are marked as"Low Level" or gray in difficulty for either the veteran or the recruit character will not provide an experience boost.
    
  • Should one character be more than 3 levels higher than the other, only the lower level character will receive the experience boost. The above two requirements still apply.
  
  
• Triple experience gains can be tracked in the Combat Log. They will appear in the following format: "Player gains 'X' experience ('Y' exp Refer-A-Friend bonus)"
  
  
• Triple experience will stack with the experience bonuses provided by Bind on Account items. It will not stack, however, with Rested Experience.
  
  
• Certain restrictions apply for granting levels:
  
  
  • Levels may only be granted to characters on a veteran account by characters on a linked recruit account
    
  • Levels may only be granted to characters of the same faction and on the same realm
    
  • Levels may not be granted to characters over level 59
    
  • Levels may not be granted to characters of equal or higher level
    
  • Levels may not be granted once a 90-day account link breaks
    
  • Levels may not be granted to veteran characters with XP gains disabled
  
  
• Although a recruit character will cease to gain "grantable" levels at level 60, the ability to grant them to a veteran character will not go away. This means that if a level 80 recruit character had some "grantable" levels stored up, they could still be granted to a qualifying veteran character. That said, all "grantable" levels will need to be used before the 90-day link expires, as these levels will not be available once the link is removed.
  
  
• Characters on accounts which are not BC- or WotLK-enabled may not be summoned to BC- or WotLK-specific zones. These zones include Blood Elf, Draenei, and Death Knight starting areas, as well as the whole of Outland and Northrend.

Important Notes About Subscription Rewards (Including the X-53 Touring Rocket):

• The X-53 Touring Rocket is only available through the Recruit-A-Friend program. Please beware of emails, whispers, and in-game mails that offer "free mounts" and other prizes, as these can be scams intended to obtain your login information. If you wish to refer an account and potentially receive the X-53 Touring Rocket, please visit http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/account/recruit-a-friend.html to begin the Recruit-A-Friend process.
  
  
• Veteran accounts will only qualify for subscription rewards once the recruit account has paid for a specific amount of game time. To receive the 30-day game credit, the recruit account must pay for 30 days of game play; to receive the in-game mount, the recruit account must pay for 60 days of game play. Please note that before the recruit account will be charged for any game time, all free time on the account must expire. This free time will include the 10 days of trial time and the 30-day game credit the recruit account receives upon upgrading to a full, classic account.
  
  
• Pre-paid game cards and pre-paid game time codes will instantly apply game time to an account. Therefore, if a veteran account would like to quickly qualify for the in-game mount reward, the recruit account can opt to subscribe using pre-paid game cards or codes. Game cards are available at many local retailers, and game codes may be purchased on the Blizzard Store here: http://us.blizzard.com/store/details.xml?id=110000004
  
  
• Veteran accounts will remain eligible for Recruit-A-Friend subscription rewards even after the 90-day account link expires. This means if an inactive recruit account resubscribes and then purchases a total of 60 days of game play, the veteran account will still be able to redeem the 30-day game credit and in-game mount. Please note that this will only apply for accounts linked after 08/05/2008.
  
  
• Only one mount may be claimed per qualifying Recruit-A-Friend referral. This means that if a veteran player has already claimed a Zhevra on a character, he or she will need to refer a new friend (thus gaining a new reward to claim) to also obtain the X-53 Touring Rocket.
  
  
• Even if a veteran player already owns a Zhevra, he or she can still claim the X-53 Touring Rocket once you qualify for it. Both of these mounts can be owned by the same character at the same time.
  
  
• Recruit-A-Friend mount swaps will not be provided by In-Game Support or Billing & Account Services.
