Quick Facts & FAQs
by Maaven | 21/02/2009 01:55:15![]() This is a list of frequently asked questions on the PTR and should not warrant their own threads. We will update this thread as more facts become apparent. 1. What is the current PTR build? Version 0.1.0.9767 updated 4/08/09 2. Will there be premades for this PTR testing phase? At this time, no. This could change in the future and will be announced for that specific testing phase. Otherwise, please do not expect this. 3. Where can I read the latest patch notes for the 3.1.0 patch? When the patch notes are released, they will be posted at the following URL: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/patchnotes/test-realm-patchnotes.html 4. I copied my character, but it's not showing up on the server... what's up? If you copied your character over and it isn't showing up on the server, you may need to copy your character over again. 5. My downloader is stuck at 99%! What do I do? Restart your downloader to see if it finishes the download. If the problem persists, report your problem to Blizzard's Technical Support Forum. 6. When I try to log into the PTR realm, it says my username and password are wrong, what do I do? Because the PTR realms are completely separate from the live realms, you may need to use an older password to access the PTR. Changing your live password will not update your password for the PTR. From the downloads section, download the current patch downloader file to your hard disk. http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/charcopy/downloads.html 2. Move or copy the downloaded file into your World of Warcraft folder and delete any previous WoWtest folder. 3. Execute the file and patiently wait for the download to complete. 4. If the patching process does not start automatically, execute the patch file manually and wait patiently for the patching process to complete. 5. Close your Launcher 6. Execute the file Launcher.exe located in your World of Warcraft Public Test folder and login 7. Select the test realm to use and start testing the game.
