So about last August my account was hacked by people claiming to be Blizzard. I had a dwarf hunter on it, and he was like level 49, so i was really excited about him. But i checked the Armory, and the character, along with all his gear had been deleted. I'm just getting back from a long break off of WoW and have spoken with Blizzard and am getting help. We are currently reclaiming the actual account. But my question is, is what can i expect character restoration wise if its been so long since August? I really want him back, but i would understand it if it couldn't happen. I just wanted to know, so if Blizz is reading, or any other players that were in similar situations! Also, the only thing Blizz staff (thats helping me) has said in regards to the actual character, is that they could help out with a new character if not able to reclaim this one, so i also wanted to know what they do to help out new characters. (this is a different account im posting off of)

Sadly, due to the amount of time that has passed since your account was compromised and the characters and items were deleted, it may be difficult for us to restore your character. That being said, we'll happily look into the possibility and do whatever we can to restore as much as possible.

Unfortunately, if we are unable to verify the losses that occurred during the compromise, we may be unable to restore the character and we will be unable to provide any "bonuses" to help your new character out. I sincerely apologize for any confusion, but we will be unable to assist by helping your new characters out to compensate for any characters that may have been lost. Hopefully though, we'll be able to restore your character and get you back into the game soon.
