Hi, this is probably a simple fix, but for some reason every time I try to download the patch for Wrath of the Lich king, I get an error message stating:

"No installer data could be found. If this problem persists, please contact Blizzard Technical Support."

I already have it running the trial on the blizzard account, but I cannot get it on my Mac. Any help would be appreciated.

Specs of my computer:

Mac OS X: Version 10.6.3

Processor: 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 4GB 1067 MHz RAM
Startup Disk: Macintosh HD

Hello Jerius,

Try the following: go to your Mac HD => Users => Shared and delete the Blizzard folder and now run InstallWoW.app to see if you can get the game installed.

Let me know what happens.

Hello Jerius,

Do you have any 3rd party security programs on your Mac ?

Also another 2 possible reasons for the base/signature error are permission discrepancies or a bad download. Since the error occurs at 74% and not at 70% when the data starts to update your game, I'm thinking the issue would lie in permissions, so let's reset both the general area and then more specifically the game folder:

Please use the steps below to repair file permission settings
on the hard drive you have installed World of Warcraft.

1.) click on the Finder icon in the Dock
2.) open the Applications folder
3.) open the Utilities folder
4.) double click on the Disk Utility application icon
5.) select the hard drive the game is installed on
6.) select the First Aid option
7.) click on the Repair Disk Permissions button

If anything had to be repaired, run the repair again to make sure everything was repaired the first time around.

- AND -

1. Select the World of Warcraft folder
2. press Command + i
3. in the World of Warcraft Info box, go to the Sharing & Permissions section
4. click on the lock and unlock it
5. make sure you have Read & Write permissions
6. click on the Burst icon ( cog wheel ) and select Apply to enclosed items**

** If using Mac OS 10.4.11, just click on the Apply to Enclosed items button.

Hello Jerius,

Looks like some system files are corrupted, you can try creating a root user and repairing permissions when logged in as the root user or do a reinstall of the Mac OS 10.6 and then run all the software updates.
