Why was my thread locked?

I dont see any valid reason according to the forum rules?

The topic pertained to a phrase often associated with non-constructive replies. Should the thread be allowed to remain; the likelihood of it becoming a beacon for nonsensical/non-constructive replies would be assured.

The thread has been locked pre-emptively to prevent this from happening.
