My friend has a banned forum, so he cant ask for himself, but he made a guild name called "<< removed >>" from a quote from futurama where the world they were on were ran by bouncing balls, and was a war between them and the humans, and the guy said "<< quote removed to remove the guild name reference >>"

I know it sounds like a joke, but its a serious question, is this innapropriate and should he disband it asap?

it sounds innapropriate but its also clever

The guild name in question would likely violate the following category of our Naming Policy:

http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=20368#inap

Q u o t e:
Inappropriate

This category includes both clear and masked names which:
  • Are mildly inappropriate references to human anatomy or bodily functions
  • Are references to illegal drugs or activities
  • Have neutral or positive racial/ethnic/national connotations
  • Have any connotations of major religions or religious figures (i.e. Jesus, Christianity, Buddha)
  • Include names of World of Warcraft realms, zones, or names of major characters from Warcraft lore
  • Are otherwise considered inappropriate for the game world

If your friend is willing to disband, that might be the best course of action. Otherwise, he or she is welcome to submit a petition or send an email to wowgm@blizzard.com bringing the name to our attention. Self-reports are usually treated quite leniently. :)
