This is a plea for Blizzard to add an ability to target a particular raid symbol. Obviously this wouldn't be available to the scripting system as things could become too automated. But it would be extremely helpful to be able to /target (skull) or have a macro with /cast [target=circle] Hibernate. This is something that frequently is wanted by our raid and I'm sure many other raid groups as well.

This hasn't been done for two reasons:
First, the icons draw the eye into the play field, which overall is a good thing.
Second, allowing you to target by raid icon would mean that we would have to protect setting raid icons so addons couldn't set them and they wouldn't be able to customize the target dropdown menu, which would be a shame. :)
