Phising Whispers
by Icandiforme | 08/03/2010 14:24:39![]() They are getting ridiculously bad again. At one point Blizz made it so trial accounts could not whisper. Why was that lifted? It is not good business for Blizzard to allow this. Obviously people are taking the bait or they would not continue to use them and that means the game mods are constantly having to deal with the after effects of the hacked accounts which means that people with real ingame issues have to wait days for tickets to be responded to. I understand the concept of report spam, but it has no lasting effect and from what I have seen it results in only a temporary posting ban. the next day we get the same whispers from the same name. Can't you put a ban on any name with Blizz used in it? Filters are not rocket science to create for even an amatuer programmer. I just don't understand why Blizzard is not more proactive at going after the hackers and gold spammers. IT IS COSTING BLIZZARD MONEY in the form of wasted labor and lost revenues from disgusted players who leave the game. Sorry, but I just don't get it. It should not be that hard to track the gold, delete the seller and the buyer and eliminate the market for it. In the end that is where this all leads to is the profiting from the gold they are able to steal from hacked accounts. |
