Pets that chase you.... forever...

Last night we were pvping and I had a lock that sent his pet after me. I rooted it and took off ( others were aleady dead ). I ran till it had cleared my screen ( I had it clicked on before i left ) I got out of combat and was at least a map screen away from it when i cat formed and stealthed up. I kept walking away..

As I looked back a saw the damn thing come back into view and it was STILL CHASING ME!! WTF!!! Stealthed more than a screen away and OOC and it still has me targeted???? There is no way in hell this can be a fair move!!

Even if i didnt have stealth i know it would still have been after me. Even though its master could not see me.

What needs to happen is that if a person is OOC and stealths the pet loses its target AND/OR if a person goes the same distance a player can see another player before losing its target then the pet too loses its target.

This is an unfair advantage and i hope that Blizzard fixes it.

I don't know how many times I have to state that this is not a bug.

Stealth and Prowl (as opposed to Vanish and Feign Death) are not combat escape mechanisms. They will not remove you from an NPCs target list. This is an intentional design decision on the part of the developers of the game. No matter how much you may disagree, this means it is not a bug.

If you feel this should be changed then post in an appropriate forum (class or suggestion). As this is not a bug no amount of posting in this forum will result in a change.
