Hello, I have downloaded and installed the 10 day free trial and i am having some major performance issues, I do not know if it's because there's some patch i need, which i can't find any downloads for, BUT as you can see in the screen shot I can run it. lol. http://img17.imageshack.us/img17/3166/20137359.jpg
With my specs I should be able to run WoW on full settings with no problem, here below are my FPS for each GFX Setting.

Low: 40 - 45 sometimes 50 - 55
Fair: 19 - 30, the low points are really annoying cause it lags.
Good: 15 - 22 (Annoying)
High: 7 - 10 (unplayable)
Ultra: 4 - 5 (unplayable)

System Specs
-AMD II x2 250
-1.7 DDR3 Ram.
-OS: XP Home SP3
-DX: DX 9.0c
-GFX: ATI Radeon HD 4200 - 700MB Ram
-80GB ATA HDD, Plenty of free space.

Hi Enntity,

Please keep in mind that the onboard HD 4200 can only do so much. Low settings are best for onboard and low-end dedicated video cards. With a mid-end video card like an ATI 4650 or NVIDIA 9600, you can start going to high settings as long as your monitor isn't a 20" or higher.

Q u o t e:
you all have a point BUT I can play higher end games like AVA From ijji.com on mid settings and is by far a higher end gam than Wow is, and even then i get 80 - 90 FPS.
Things change a bit when you go with a mainstream game.

You're a bit lucky as today's the release of the AMD 890 chipset series. Those contain derivatives of the 4200 so you get a lot of performance charts :)

Q u o t e:
still doesn't seem right that games graphically way better than wow run 100 times better.
Even the guys on majorgeeks forum who know there stuff when it comes to hardware say something seems REALLY odd about this. and they do know what there talking about when it comes to hardware.

There's something when you say that a 4200 is a really good video card. No offense, but the 4200, 4350, 5450 have their places. HTPC, yes. Strong gaming performance and fillrate, no. Mediocre gaming, yes. Are you really going to get deals where you get a powerful video card that's built onto the motherboard on a Fry's special for free? They have deals there where they sell processors and motherboard combos (with the 4200) for the price of the processor itself. The motherboard is just given away for free.

Q u o t e:
sorry to post twice to the same reply but, about that link, how will that benefit me, is that compatible for my board/ cpu/ chipset??

The link I gave you contains the 890GX chipset (Radeon 4290) and the 790GX (Radeon 4200). You have a 4200 so the link works as a comparison.
