Pain Supression + Silent Resolve

Pain Suppression increases the chance to resist dispels by 65% and Silent Resolve increases resist to dispels by 20% - does that mean that with both talents active - the chance of having a buff dispeled is 15%?

It should resist being dispelled by about 85% with Silent resolve maxed as well. This makes it very difficult to be dispelled.

Q u o t e:
Theoretically, but I've been hearing enough reports of PS being dispelled easily anyway that you might want to have the dev team check for sure that the resist on PS is actually implemented correctly, and works with all possible combinations of SR.

I'll forward this on and see if there is anything that may be causing issues with this working properly.

I just wanted to stop into this thread again and confirm that Pain Suppression is not gaining the benefit of Silent Resolve and this is now listed as a bug to be fixed in a future patch.

Pain Suppression itself is also not giving it's proper resist bonus as it should be and this is slated to be fixed at the same time.

We appreciate the feedback on this and will get it corrected as quickly as possible.

Neth, can you drop the hint that it'd really help if the Devs could get this fixed ASAP rather than "next patch" since the patch cycles are so sporadic? I kind of view it as a "low time high return" kind of investment in terms of PR.

It's being fixed as soon as possible, and while we do our best to hotfix high priority issues as often as possible, it isn't always possible to hotfix. This is something that needs to be fixed client side.

As some of you know, I run a Discipline/Holy priest myself and this bug affects me the same as anyone else. I would love to have it fixed sooner as well, but realize that there are many other issues that are being worked on at the same time and being fixed concurrent to these bugs. In the meantime I'll make due.

From one PvPer to another, I hope you realize that this means no more will Shamans and Priests and Mages let me have my 8 seconds of shininess now that they know that it doesn't work. =[

Duck and cover my friend. Duck and cover. I'll be right there with you. But we will relish in the joy of it once it is working properly. ;)

Someone asked earlier-

Can you confirm/deny if Silent Resolve's resist benefit apply to shadow spells also? (VT/SW:P/Devouring plague, etc). If Silent Resolve is supposed to provide resist for shadow spells also, is it ?

I just wanted to answer that yes, it should apply to all your spells that can be dispelled both on friendly and hostile players. In this case, Pain Suppression missed the boat on the bug list since each spell is checked on an individual basis. Once it's taken care of though, everything should be working as it should be for both the Silent Resolve and the Pain Suppression.

Neth,

It's really lame that you couldn't get this fixed in a month of testing and now we get to wait 2, 3, or 4 months for you to fix what shouldn't have been broken.

Your timeframe is a bit off, but I'll let you think that it will go that way if it brings you comfort. ;) Things happen. It's a big game with a lot of moving parts so to speak. We'll get this bug squashed though.
