Even though extended maintenance has concluded, we continue to investigate issues affecting the availability of paid character services including Character Transfers, Character Name Changes, Re-Customizations, Faction Changes, and Race Changes. At this time, we are unable to provide an estimate as to when these issues will be resolved, but we will continue to post updates in this thread as they become available.

Greetings all!

To keep World of Warcraft running smoothly, it is sometimes necessary to perform maintenance and improvements. As a result, some realms and character services will remain unavailable for approximately 24 hours as extended maintenance is performed to prepare for the upcoming Cataclysm expansion. The affected realms are listed below.

While these improvements are necessary, they can cause some delays in the availability of character services, such as Character Transfers, Faction Changes, and the like. These realms and services should become available again by approximately 12:01 AM PDT on Wednesday, June 9th.
