Our Guild Bank Got Hacked and the GM said

The GM said Tough Luck?

I was not aware that this was an acceptable phrase to be used to any person.

I am an officer in the Largest Guild on Muradin. One of our officers accounts got hacked and the guild bank was pillaged. We even got screen caps from the guy admitting he stole the stuff on our website.

And the response we got was tough luck? Why do you even employ these people? You could cut down on the cost of your business by eliminating a position that does nothing.

Our Guild Master would be here complaining but he is tired of the attitude of the customer service people he has run into in the game. The attitude of doing nothing when there is a geniune complaint.

I would just like to say. That is unacceptable behavior of your staff.

Would you be willing to offer the name and realm of a character on the affected (i.e. compromised) account, Duxn? While I am uncertain whether any miscommunication has occurred with our department, I'd like to investigate the matter myself to ensure that all is as it should be. Thanks! :)

Q u o t e:
The GM said Tough Luck?

It appears as though you've been unfortunately misinformed, Duxn; based upon our in-game records, neither your guild mate nor your Guild Master received a declination of assistance, nor were either—at any point in time—dismissed or their concerns suspended. While the phrase "tough luck" was, indeed, used in passing, the author of this particular phrase was not a representative of our department, but your Guild Master after being informed that the restoration of one's account was not an immediate process and would require several days to fully complete; the Game Master to whom your guild mate spoke was naught but professional and polite, redirecting all appropriate information to our Investigation team.

It may behoove you to impress upon those involved that the restoration process is contingent not upon the word of our players, but upon the location of related evidence within our logs. The investigation process necessary to unearth this evidence is not a simple endeavor and—yes—may take more than one week to conclude. While this is an inconvenience—one for which I do apologize—it is not something we are willingly to bypass or expedite for the sake of impatience; we value accuracy and quality, Duxn, I would hope your Guild Master and guild mate would, as well.

Your guild mate's case remains in queue at this time; once restoration is complete, he will receive word email. In the meantime, I would encourage your guild mate to remain patient, and your Guild Master to appreciate the value of well-established policy and procedure. :)
