Greetings Fallenlegend,

What type of pet do you have?

There shouldn't be any problem in regards to having your pet alongside, but some creatures such as crabs can have, for the lack of a better description, shiny surfaces that can cause video problems and potentially could cause latency if your drivers are not up to date, or if your video card is not supported.

I do not believe that there has been any issues in regards to the graphics on wolves. Please check the following to see if anything helps in regards to your framerate issues.

To start with, in case there is a problem UI file relating to the pat in some way, with the game closed please try deleting or moving your WTF, CACHE, and INTERFACE folders out of your World of Warcraft directory. Try the game after moving these folders, you will need to accept the user agreement once more and select your realm. This is mainly in case there is a UI problem in regards to the pet.

In regards to the video card itself, please check the Video Hardware Compatibility page to make sure that your current hardware is supported: http://www.blizzard.com/support/wow/?id=aww0830p

Also make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card. You'll want to check with your computer manufacturer or the video card manufacturer's website for the current drivers that match the model of card you have in your system. A list of manufacturers with contact information can be found at this page:

If you have tried all of the above steps and are still having problems, I would like to view the video card information of the system. If you look at the Display tab of the dxdiag there will be two columns in the upper right and left that will display all of the video information. Please post those two columns here.

To reach the dxdiag go to Start/Run and type "dxdiag".
