I got an interesting "fishy" email today. It contained a zip file titled "AddOns". The e-mail was supposedly from Blizzard. However, I find that highly un-likely.
This is what it said...
Dear WoW User
This message is sent from Blizzard Entertainment. The Burning Crusade is now available at a store near you! Blizzard's stated goal with the blood elves is to give the horde side a more attractive (in appearance) race and starting area, which will hopefully help address population imbalance across the servers. We get some of the first hands-on information of warcraft expansion at bizzcon, we provides countless hours of exciting wallpictures, the links and the perfect installration. The official World of Warcraft website's game guide and workshop sections will receive a series of content updates to help you get started with World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. The following list is only the first of several updates, so make sure to clink in the attachment. During installation of the expansion, you'll be able to clink in the attachment. Alternatively, you can click here to upgrade as well. If you experience any issues with the Installation, please visit the Installation Issues section of our support page for assistance.
This is a reminder, we do plan on having a lot more pages for Burning Crusade. We're working on these updates and we'll post them as soon as we can.
