Mouse Problem

I am currently using a Logitech MX 610 Laser Cordless Mouse, and often when i push the left and right buttons to run, it often skips for a brief couple seconds, causing my character to stop running. It doesnt lag or anything, just it seems like the mouse stops responding to what i am doing, then in a couple seconds, picks back up the signal. I have been using this mouse for over a year now, and have never run into this or any other problem. The mouse only has a problem while playing WoW, works great with everything else. I noticed the problem started occuring around the time of the first BC patch. I dont know if that would have caused the problem though. Any help with this issue would be appreciated

Greetings Durden,

Please try the Hardware cursor option as Ambev has suggested to see if this helps. There have also been issues in the past with Custom UI files, they can sometimes set invisible areas on the screen where the mouse will not activate for the game.

Do you notice if you mouse stops working in certain areas of the screen, or does the on screen location not matter? If you find a time where the mouse will not work to move your character, try releasing the buttons and move the mouse to a different location on screen, and then if you can move try moving it back to the initial non-working see if there is a dead area on the screen.

If this appears to be the case, or even if you just want to try this as a test, please close the game and move your WTF, Cache, and Interface folders out of your World of Warcraft directory. These are temporary files that will be recreated by the game the next time you launch. Moving them to the desktop makes it easy to replace them if necessary. Once those folders are no longer located in the game directory, try the game again.
