Major Tol Barad issue
by Jawstrock | 13/09/2010 00:55:22![]() Basicly put, any side defending could have their whole army in a single node and NEVER LOSE. Since the only way for the attacking force to win is to control all 3 nodes, with same size army, there is no way even if both side were full out on a single node, that the defending team would ever lose. If they start losing the node they can just juggle it and go cap another. There need to be more ways to win the zone. My thought is, whoever controls the most zone at the end of the timer wins. So if say horde is on offense, and controls 2 node, they win. If alliance defended 2 node, they win etc. Or simply change the way the zone works, like. Have it be a fixed timer, all 3 nodes become grey, either: First team to control all 3 wins OR at the end of the timer, any team with 2 nodes wins. In case of a tie, it keeps going until a team controls 2(which should happen rather fast), or maybe have a total of "control" of each node and hightest win(so if one side controls 1 node + 55% of another they win(as the opposing side would have 1+ 45%) Other thing is, towers and sieges. I heard they are linked to the slagwork, but that's currently bugged, for Horde anyways, we can never use the sieges. Maybe have them be more a dps buff then timer increase or something. At the very least, let the attacking side win if they control 2 node by the end of the timer. Just did tolbarad, we had about 25-30, ally were at most 10. They won because they always had a node either capped or on the way to be capped, as we tried to keep some defense each nodes. That is just wrong, specially without any tenacity. Finally, well this is more a suggestion, if the slag works gives us siege, make the other two nodes give us a different boost. Say, The ironclad gives us a dps boost and Warden a defense boost, would at least give more strategy in the fight. |
by Kalgan | 21/09/2010 02:36:37![]() The defenders respawn in the center of the island (Baradin Hold), and the attackers respawn at the graveyard nearest the node. So, in a straight fight where both sides are killing at the same effectiveness the defenders should eventually lose. So presumably, if you're fighting a losing battle as defense your better option is to try to re-secure one of the other points. |
