Mail Issues - 3 Days and no mail

Dear Blizzard Customer support,

About 3 days ago I transfered items from one of my former alts named "Atolie" on Earthen Ring to this character "Atoli" via the mail system (the name I wanted finally opened up since my friend who was using it quit the game and deleted the character) yet, none of the items have arrived on "Atoli".

I have sent in a ingame tickets, it came back with a email saying "The mail system may take up to an hour to deliver items to other players or other characters on the same account. All other mail, including money is usually instant. All mail sent from the auction house (whether money or items) is delivered instantly. If you are still experiencing an issue with the in-game mail system, please submit another petition and we’ll be able to investigate your claim further."

The items which were sent may seem "unimportant" to a higher level player yet for this low level paladin of mine they were things I needed (due to me not having a high level horde character on Earthen Ring). Therefore, I am posting on the Customer support forums to see if a blue poster can help.

There is currently an issue, Atoli, when sending in-game mail to newly created characters with the same name as a previously deleted character. It is imperative that you log into a newly created character before sending in-game mail, otherwise the in-game mail will be sent to the deleted character and may be unrecoverable.

If you have already encountered this issue please submit an in-game petition and a Game Master may be able to assist you, otherwise you will have to wait until the mail has been returned.
