Is there not a repair tool for the Mac? This would be extremely handy for fixing those pesky assertion errors (already added to the suggestions forum).

Nothing yet, perhaps we will create it some day, but I'm not sure it's feasible. The repair.exe tool basically strips all the patches and other data from the game and leaves it in a state as if it was just installed, and I don't know if on the Mac side the data is just weaved into the game making it almost impossible to strip away the layers. But thank you for suggesting it, it would be a great tool for us techs to have in order to help you guys out and make it easier for you to fix some issues by yourselves.

Thanks for the reminder, I think I'm missing a patch on my copy of WoW on an external hard drive. I use your method as well, make sure the main game works, have it patched completely and copy it to another hard drive as a back up. And you're right, 17 mins is a godsend, sounds like you are using a firewire connection since that's about the time it takes me to restore my game from a complete crash. Thanks again for the reminder and I hope others read your solution.

Thanks for the info, and yes, I was basically trying to figure out why we don't have a repair tool for the Mac side, and hoping it was just too complicated rather than the alternative reason, hehe. Thanks again for the info, I really appreciate it.
