Low FPS after 2 month break!!!
by Razada | 28/04/2010 17:41:27![]() I stopped playing WoW in February and recently returned. Before I took a break I would get anywhere from 80 - 120 fps. Now that I am back I can barely get above 30 fps and I get lag spikes quite often. I would appreciate any help people may have with this issue. Below are my IMac specs. 2.66 GHz Intel "Core 2 Duo" processor ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO graphics acceleration with 256 MB of GDDR3 memory 2 GB of RAM (800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM, PC2-6400), a 320 GB (7200 RPM) Serial ATA hard drive Let me know if you need more info! Thank you in advance! Are there any generic steps I should go through to find this problem?? [ Post edited by Razada ] |

For older Macs the old PRAM reset did a lot of good so try that first: Reset PRAM: (Note: in order for this procedure to work the sound must be working normally and not muted) 1. (re)start the computer 2. right after the initial system chime press Opt+command (Apple)+p+r 3. hold these keys down until you get two more chimes 4. let go of the keys and let the system boot up naturally (do not press any keys) ( If sound is not an option: press the keys stated above right after the (re)start, and instead of listening for the 2 chimes, the screen will flash white 2 times.) And did you already delete the Cache ƒolder ? [ Post edited by Radoslawn ] No matter how simple the ??? seem, we were all nbs at one time. Grab your free Apple mount here !!!
