Loot policy question (My error!!)

Anasurimbur

I just lead a 25 man 2 per class run for Vault.

When Toravon dies, he drops a Wrathful piece of gear. People roll; there are two 50's but I notice one. I give to the lower 50 (thus breaking my own loot policy on accident).

This character then refuses to furnish the item to the correct winner and immediately leaves raid / logs out of the game.

I put in a GM ticket, but, I'm not sure if this issue can be corrected. Am I wrong and do I simply have to live with my mistake (as well as the other player in the PuG who technically won the piece?)

=(

Hwnn is my sugar daddy.

There really isn't a cut and dry response to your question. If an investigation is requested regarding a situation like this, then our staff will look into the matter and make a determination accordingly. The results of the investigation will dictate the actions our staff takes in response.

Q u o t e:

it CAN be fixed and is within their power to do so. the question is whether the gm that ends up reading the issue decides he feels like being bothered to do it honestly.

EDIT: its the same idea as if you were to accidently delete a item you still wanted. if the gm ticket is put in quickly(like within a hour or so id say) it can be resolved.

Actually, the examples you cited differ in substantial details. Barring exploitation, once the item in question was given to the recipient it became that player's property, and it is within their discretion to request that the item be transferred or not.

If some sort of scam is taking place, then that may no longer apply, and all involved parties may be culpable.
