Long delay on logout with Authenticator

Ever since I added the Authenticator to my account, I've been experiencing very long load-out times (upwards of 30 seconds).

As soon as the log out initiates, the screen hangs (I can still move the mouse, but nothing else will move, nor can I interact with it) for between 30 seconds and a full minute.

This problem did not occur before I added the authenticator to my account, and it has occurred on every single log out since adding the authenticator.

Hello Kahzgul,

The authenticator is only used for the login server. It doesn't interact with the game or the log out process.

The one thing that might change is that the config.wtf file is trying to save info that you have an authenticator and can't due to permissions limitations, so let's reset them...

1. Select the World of Warcraft folder
2. press Command + i
3. in the World of Warcraft Info box, go to the Sharing & Permissions section
4. click on the lock and unlock it
5. make sure you have Read & Write permissions
6. click on the Burst icon ( cog wheel ) and select Apply to enclosed items**

** If using Mac OS 10.4.11, just click on the Apply to Enclosed items button.

Let me/us know if that helps.

No matter how simple the ??? seem, we were all nbs at one time.
