Lightning bolt coefficient nerf?
by Jakuniku | 24/07/2008 05:54:40![]() Daidalos on the elitist jerks forum did a bunch of testing with lightning bolt, and it looks like the coefficient it receives from spellpower has been reduced. He found that w/o paralysis, the coefficient is .71. With paralysis it's .781. In both cases he has 5/5 concussion. Currently on live our coefficient is .794, so with paralysis it should be at .8737. Is this an intended nerf to our scaling? The thread/data is here: http://elitistjerks.com/f31/t27016-elemental_shaman_-_wotlk_talents_di scussion/p18/ Edit: Here's the post where the live coefficients were announced after the lightning bolt cast time change: Elemental Shaman: Please Read [ Post edited by Jakuniku ] |
by Koraa | 28/07/2008 15:04:02![]() Lightning Bolt always had a higher coefficient than similar bolt spells. This was because there weren't as much/any nature damage debuffs. Now that they exist, we're restoring Lightning Bolt to it's intended coefficient. Your DPS in a raid setting will if anything be higher with these changes. Class Designer |
