Lag in Battlegrounds Only
by Zukunft | 09/02/2007 05:16:22 Ever since BC, I have had horrible latency in any Battleground. I'm usually somewhere between 3000ms and 24000ms at all times. I have no trouble anywhere else, I can run around all day no trouble in Outland or Azeroth, but as soon as I hit a battleground; I can't do anything. I tried on a different computer and it worked fine. My brother actually on the same wireless network has no trouble in BGs. I appreciate the help, Zuk |
by Petermn | 25/04/2007 07:51:49 Greetings Zukunft, If your brother is using the same connection and having no issues, then it is likely to be something on your system that is causing the problems. Do you have any sort of security software or hardware that can restrict connection based on IP address? The normal game servers and instance servers will actually have seperate IP addresses and it may be that when you swap that the connection is being blocked partially resulting in the slow connection. Unfortunately I don't have the IP addresses to give you as they change often but it may be that a certain IP range is being restricted for some reason, if security software thinks you are being spammed or attacked from an IP address then it can block that IP address or addresses. You may wish to check any security software to see if it has the ability to block or restrict IP addresses in any way. |
