Keep Flying Mounts Grounded in Azeroth?
by Finneus | 12/03/2007 21:22:12 I know there have been numerous posts about how converting the terrain of azeroth to be flying mount friendly is too large an undertaking, but how difficult could it be to allow Flying mounts to be used in Azeroth as well - just keep them grounded? It seems to me that this is a very logical middle ground and wouldn't require a massive overhaul. I really hate having to carry both the epic ground mount and the epic flying mount with me at all times and I can't see why something like this would negatively impact the WoW environment in the way having AH's and class trainers in Shattrath could have. |

We don't really want them to be used as ground mounts in Azeroth as there's a disconnect there with being on a mount that can fly, but not being able to fly it. You can only mount a flying mount in Outland. That's a clear definition. Now if you could mount in Azeroth and Outland, but only fly in Outland, it causes a disconnection there for the player and the flying mechanic which is usually going to lead to frustration. |
