Item Restoration & <GM> Powers
by Reiromoru | 22/06/2007 14:25:32![]() Last night we ran Kara on the Gurubashi Realm. Under the advice of a GM, we turned off master looting in favor of Group looting (Due to the glitche relating to BoP Recipies and Master Loots). We 1 shot opera, and the Trial Fire Trousers + Ruby Slippers drop. We all cast our rolls, and a gnome named Sinarus waits approx 30 secs to make sure we did. He needs on both items, leaves our vent and the raid, does a /dance, logs back into vent with the phonetic - "Ninja in your base," and warps out of karazhan. He follows up with a realm post admitting what he did, and showing no remorse. http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=112403108&si We open 9 separate tickets with the GM. 2 hours later, all 9 tickets were returned in full - with the same response ; "1)we're not responsible for the actions of a player, 2) we don't care what the GM told you about group looting (because all GM's give different advice), 3) we won't be restoring your items or your boss and the implicit message of it all - 4)"go out and ninja because there's nothing GM's can do anyways." I spoke with 5 different GM's. All 5 gm's told me to post here, so here I am. All 5 said developers read this, so.. plz give BACk the GM's powers to restore items. I know they've had that power before. Also put in more of a measure to prevent ninja looters. Master Looting is great, but we were told to not use it until the glitch was fixed. I truly am sorry that I don't have better news to deliver, but it was made available to the involved players to roll in the way they did - the Game Master department will not intervene in such situations, it is the choice made by the party leader to use that loot setting as well as the decision on the part of the players to be in such a group using those loot settings.
