Hey guys, I was just going through my email today and i noticed this message from "Blizzard" and I was wondering if it was legit. The adress that sent the email was WoWbetaUS@blizzard.com and provided a link to download something. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

world of warcraft: Cataclysm Beta Test Invitation!

Get those opt-ins ready for the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm closed beta! The sundering of Azeroth is nigh, and you don’t want to be left out in the cold of Northrend when you could be enjoying the sun-drenched beaches on the goblin isle of Kezan. To ensure you’re opted-in and eligible as a potential candidate, you’ll need a World of Warcraft license attached to your Battle.net account, have your current system specifications uploaded to the Battle.net Beta Profile Settings page, and have expressed interest through the franchise-specific check boxes.

As your fellow players have keenly pointed out, the e-mail you received is malicious. Should you be invited to the Cataclysm beta, you will see a new box under the "Manage My Games" section of your Battle.net Account Management page (http://us.battle.net). Please forward this e-mail to hacks@blizzard.com and review the following resources for more information on how to avoid these scams:

Q u o t e:

Based on my experience with SC2 and the opt-in program, players will only know by looking at their bnet accounts; Blizzard doesn't send notification emails. Can you confirm this, Aredek?

We do send notification emails as well, Ryvenne. It's possible that your StarCraft II beta invitation was filtered or blocked by your email provider.
