Interrupting my wow time

Does anyone else have this problem? Ya take care of all your personal obligations, i.e. your family and stuff, spend time with them, feed them, love them, and then finally you just want to play some wow, so you make sure everyone's taken care of, and they are - kids are in bed, wife is reading, etc....something like that, and then, everyone's cool, no one needs you, so you load up wow, and as soon as that dragon swoops in its like "OMGZOR I NEED YOU RIGHT NOW WE HAVE TO TALK ABOUT SOMETHING BORING AND POINTLESS RIGHT THIS SECOND DAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!!!!!" and the kids come running and the phone starts ringing and your friends decide this is the time to just randomly pop in and monopolize your day and you can't help but wonder if somehow WoW is cursed.

I think in this case, it's just a matter of being a part of life and the lives of other people. The same thing happens when I read too. I'm also terrible at blocking out distractions like the neighbor's dog barking or the TV on too loud.

I think as with any hobby or activity that people do (painting, writing, reading etc) that it's good to let people know that during "x" time is your time and you're there for them if they need you, but you need that time to decompress and just enjoy it. As long as you are making sure to extend that same courtesy to others, you should be fine.

Your WoW isn't cursed unless you've been "messin' wit da voodoo."

Oh can anybody see the light,
Where the morn meets the dew,
And the tide rises,
Did you realise no one can see inside your view?
-Strangers, Portishead
