Installer CD Issue
by Scaron | 09/05/2010 22:30:08![]() So, I have an active account and I play WoW avidly... on my PC. I've been trying to install it on my Mac by using the Mac installer that I downloaded from Battle.net and everything works until i get to 60% and it says "Please insert the CD labeled World of Warcraft Disk 1". Do you need to have a disk to install on Mac? Because on my desktop PC, I downloaded the trial and then upgraded. I figured that since the installer was available from the website, I would be able to do the full install on my Mac since I had already purchased the game. So my question is, do I need to buy the game twice or did I do something wrong? |
by Radoslawn | 10/05/2010 15:18:30![]() Hello Scaron, No need to re-purchase anything. If you still have the trial, make sure to delete that data first before trying to run the installer again. In order to remove World of Warcraft safely from your system, please do the following: 1. go to your Macintosh HD => Applications folder (or wherever you saved the game) and move your World of Warcraft Trial to the Trash 2. go to your Macintosh HD => Users => Shared folder and move the Blizzard folder to the Trash 3. go to your Macintosh HD => Users => your account => Library => Preferences and delete any files associated with WOW: (some files may not appear due to non-use) - com.blizzard.downloader.plist - com.blizzard.Downloader.prefs - com.blizzard.errorreporter.plist - com.blizzard.Installer.plist - com.blizzard.launcher.plist - com.blizzard.World of Warcraft Trial.prefs - com.blizzard.World of Warcraft.survey.prefs 4. empty Trash All installers can be downloaded from your account web site (you will need to log into your account): http://us.battle.net/account No matter how simple the ??? seem, we were all nbs at one time. Grab your free Apple mount here !!! (okay I lied, it's a survey) https://www.surveymk.com/s.aspx?sm=dVmRYNrf0LMIrm5nXlEciQ_3d_3d |
