I reformated my computer and am reinstalling WoW. I was curious if I could install the original game then the expansion right after. Or would I need to install all the patches before upgrading to the expansion. I don't know if it would cause problems skipping the patches previous to the Burning Crusade...I just figured I could say some time if I could if I so. Any thoughts?

You can reinstall the expansion right after installing the original game. That will bring both up to 2.0.0
