Increased Shadow Quality
by Kaldara | 20/07/2008 05:23:34![]() Is this something that Blizzard is trying to add to WotLK? I imagine there's some bugs with them (I imagine they aren't very efficient yet, and they definitely drop your framerate, I go from 70 FPS to 15-25), but they do look really good. For anyone who is curious, the command is /console extShadowQuality # Replace # with 0 (default shadows) to 6. 1 seems to be just player/npc shadows. 2 is both players/npcs and environment. I honestly hope this feature stays in the final product. Nice way for people with medium-high end PCs to boost graphical quality of the game without messing up the experience for low-end users.
